Stewart pockets a Monster Pay Day in Las Vegas...

Some of the best motocross racers on the planet lined up under a full moon in Las Vegas to see who might walk away with one of motosport racings largest payouts ever. A cool $1 million dollars was up for grabs, among the nations elite of the motoworld. Only Monster Energy/Kawasaki mounted Ryan Villopoto has ever garnered the three moto win streak to get that elusive payout from his teams coffers.
The Monster Energy girls were rocking out on the stage...much to everyone's delight.
So it was as exciting a race as you could imagine with RV2 looking like he might just repeat his performance of 2011 and take even more of Monster Energy's money home with him...But it was not to be. Fate, and circumstance did not favor either Villopoto or last years overall winner, Justin "Bam-Bam" Barcia (who pocked a cool $100,000 grand for the win and carried the number one plate into this free-for-all slug-fest). Rather than bore you with the lap by lap details of all three action filled motos, we'll give you a run-down of what happened via photos and captions of the nights major battles....
The man of the hour in Vegas...James Stewart had something to prove in Vegas and he proceeded to do just that...he showed he not only can run up front, but stay there as well...KTM's Ken Roczen gave him a run for the money in moto three though...at least for a while...
RedBull/Suzuki mounted James Stewart’s 8-1-1 finish earned him the top-spot and $100,000 cash prize. Red Bull/KTM's Ryan Dungey took second, for a $35,000 pay day, putting in a 6-3-2 moto score, followed by Red Bull/KTM's Ken Roczen who went 4-4-4 for third overall and a $25,000 pay out....
A sizable crowd got to see some of the best racing all season long in Las Vegas. A so called "Joker Lane" ended up being the downfall of Dungey and Villopoto in their motos with RV2 getting the worst of it and crashing out and retiring from the nights racing action.

5. Marvin Musquin (KTM) 2-9-8
6. Cole Seely (Honda) 13-7-5
7. Broc Tickle (Suzuki) 10-8-9
8. Justin Barcia (Honda) 7-2-18

The Nuclear Cowboys put on a special exhibition of free-style riding inside the Sam Boyd stadium...
The traditional fireworks display opened the nights race program....
Two gate malfunctions marred the nights racing but the third time was the charm as both starting gates converged onto the track for the official start of the nights racing...you can see RV2 and Dungey start to pull away and also see the ultra bad start that James Stewart (#7) gets in the first moto...
Awesome race action was evident all night....here you can see Ryan Dungey (#5), Ken Roczen (#94), Justin Barcia (#1), Dean Wilson (#16) and Jake Weimer (#12) get all kinds of sideways off the Monster Energy background jump....
Ryan Villopoto looked good, running out front all night....only a costly mistake after missing the "Joker Lane" on the last lap kept him from getting a shot at taking the Million Dollar prize for a second time...
Ken Roczen (#94) holeshot the final third moto, with Ryan Dungey close behind....but it was James Stewart's night to shine, as he soon took the lead, and the final moto win, to secure his first victory at the Monster Energy Cup races.
