Dodger Stadium Jan. 21, 2012 When the Supercross series hit the next round, at Los Ange- les legendary Dodger Stadium, the stage had been set for an unpredictable outcome for the rest of the season as the old odds makers revised their esti- mate of who exactly was going to dominate the series. Ryan Villopoto showed he can make mistakes, like anyone else ,and if he got a bad start or crashed, anything was pos- sible. At L.A.’s Chavez Ravine, the bookie’s were hedging their bets on who would win the third race of the series. Turns out they were right. Team Two Two MotoSports Chad Reed took his Honda to the event win, with a hard found battle with Ryan Dungey, aboard his KTM and a resurgent James Stewart on his Joe Gibbs Racing Yamaha. Ryan Villopoto took a some- what disappointing fourth at Dodger stadium after poor starts and a few miscues left him struggling in fourth spot. It was now anyones race series to win. With Villopoto struggling, Reed on a roll, Dungey navigating his KTM to podium finishes at all three races, and Stewart getting back into the fray, an “anyone can win” mentality started to sink in with the top pro riders.
