IN THE DIRT - Jack & John Penton Ryan Villopoto Right now, the top MX rider on the planet has to be Supercross champ (and virtually every other MX title there is) Ryan Villopoto. Whether slamming a Monster Ener- gy drink, or winning a million bucks at a time, the king of moto is by far the coolest MX rider on earth. Old school trail riders have a lot to thank these two legends of the sport for. Jack (left) and John Penton have contributed to what modern dirt bikes have developed into today. They helped make their namesake family brand one of the early leaders in off road dirt bik- ing. A couple of real heroes of the sport from its earliest days. Tami & Rolf Greenhill As one of the movers and shak- ers in the women’s motocross movement, Tammy Rice (now Tam- my Greenhill) has been a fixture of moto since the mid 80’s. Today, she and her husband Rolf, run a variety of businesses, including the Legends & Heroes events and a MX room and board business. Brad Boyle Brad is one of the coolest, nic- est guys and a most discerning and prolific collector of late 1960’s - 80’s MX Bikes. If you ever have the chance to meet him, do it.
