FRIENDS Stack, Burner and Dogger You’d have a hard time com- ing up with a couple of old school factory MX riders, still kicking it today, than these three MX heros. Steve Stackable (left), Scott Burn- worth (center), and Ronnie Lechien Doug Dubach Doug Dubach, or Doctor D, has the distinction of being one of the primary development riders for the first four-stroke Yamaha YFZ MXers. Doug’s won just about every- thing in the world of 4-Stroke and Vet World Champs. Today, he’s rac- ing the new 2-Stroke World Cham- pionships, we guess to make up for making the four-strokes so popular. (right) are three former factory racers that continue to keep their coolness factors alive. Steve is a Hang Glider instructor in So. Calif., while Scott runs a graphics de- sign business and races the Marty Tripes 100cc Works Revenge class, while Ron “Dogger” Lechien helps run Maxima Oils. Good guys all. Scott Burnworth Scott Burnworth still knows how to dominate a motocross track, only today he does it aboard a Vintage Ossa borrowed from Ossa Planet and sponsor Keith Ly- nas. Scott burns up the MX tracks and his So. Calif. Vintage Classic races are one of the best run and fun events out here on the Left Coast. The former Suzuki factory rider also has his own moto graphic design firm.
