2013 SUZUKI RM-Z450 UNVEILED Suzuki announced the introduc- tion of the new RM-Z450, to the 2013 lineup. “The RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 are the most successful fuel-injected motocross models ever made,” said Suzuki Senior Communi- cations Manager Steve Bortolamedi, “For 2013, the RM-Z450 gets redesigned, to give riders an even greater edge,” says Bortolamedi. Featuring a powerful, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, four- valve engine, with many and more precise shifts. The new front suspension works with an up- dated twin-spar aluminum frame to further optimize the balance between rigidity and high-speed traction. The RM-Z450 also comes with their all-new Showa Separate Func- tion front Forks (SFF), which sepa- rates the spring and damping func- tions, and features fully adjustable spring preload. The new Z450 also includes two electrical couplers (one rich and one lean coupler). These allow the rider to adjust the fuel setting to suit varying track conditions, all without using tools. A brand new option for 2013 is that riders can now easily track engine- operating time and better manage maintenance intervals using Suzuki’s optional FI indicator light (Part no. 36380-28H00).
