There were no tears for the Scotsman in the 250 ranks though, as new moto stars con- tinued to emerge. Geico Honda mounted Eli Tomac, and team- mate Justin Barcia, were amaz- ingly, relatively healthy, and had had good Lites Division class placings in the Supercross Lites series. Both racers were ready and willing to ramp up the pressure for top 250 class honors at the opening Hang- town National. Barcia and Tomac were kick- ing it, but would have their hands full with a serious chal- lenge from Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Blake Baggett. Baggett was deter- mined to prove his competitive- ness, after a less than great Supercross season. He wanted to show the Honda mounted duo of Barcia and Tomac, that a little Kawasaki green is still to In the Lucas Oil Womens MX class, it has been a knock down drag out battle between defending 2011 champ, Honda’s Ashley Fiolek and 2010 champ, Suzuki mounted Jes- sica Patterson.
