Bryan Smith & Shayna Texter win Sacramento Mile Event

While Bryan Smith won the coveted twin Pro class at the Sacramento Mile it was diminutive but feisty Shayna Texter who took the single cylinder class win at the fabled mile flat track event. Shayna beat all the big boys for the win with Bryan Smith repeating his win from last year in the Twins class. Look for a full report in our upcoming page flip issue #4.

Bryan Smith repeated his Big Twin win from last year at the Cal Expo Sacramento Mile on Saturday night. The win was Smith's first AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance Grand National Championship win of the year.
"I was hoping to just run away from the pack but they wouldn't let me. I was just fast enough but Jake(Johnson) and Jared (Mees) gave me a great run." Smith said. "Thanks to all of my supporters, I'm so happy to be here. It's always fun to race in front of a sellout crowd, this was awesome."
Shayna Texter dazzled the crowd and captured the checkered flag for the first time this season in the Singles class at Sacramento. The little lady took the win in the single cylinder class, and never looked back, as she got the victory by a close margin.
"I was super nervous going in to the race; it was a long event that came down to the last lap. I grew up with these riders and love competing against them," Texter said. "It just feels like a fairy tale and I can't wait to come back next year."
