Tyla Rattray wins moto, Dungey wins race

It was business as usual, as Team Red Bull/KTM series points leader, Ryan Dungey, picked up where he left off with another overall win at the rugged MOTO-X338 race track, located deep in the heart of North Eastern moto country- Southwick, MA. Dungey had his work cut out for him though, with a tough battle between Moto Concept Suzuki's Mike Alessi. Mike showed why he has 'Holeshot' sewn on the back of his pants. He gets them.

Tyla Rattray kept his Kawasaki KX450F pegged, to win the second moto at Southwick, with an impressive display of riding skill on a rough track. The South African racer has shown he has the chops to race with Dungey. Look for the 'tough as nails' racer to give #5 a go for the top spot, as the series winds down to the finals at Lake Elsinore Raceway in So Cal. (Sweet Photo by Mike Sweeney)

Broc Tickle put his KX 450F onto the podium with a 6-4 moto score, for third place, with Davi Millsaps taking his YZ 450F across the line for fourth. But the rider who got everyones attention, in the second moto, was South Africa's, Tyla Rattray. Tyla was coming back from an earlier injury this season and soon and showed that he will be a force to be reckoned with at the remaining three rounds of the series. Tyla ended up with his first moto win of the year in the second moto of the 450 class, but a dismal 20th finishing position in moto one, left him back in fifth overall, with a 20-1 moto score.
